    • Design and oversee a structured client-targeting program: set milestones, track engagement, and report on results.

  • Content & Proposal Development

    • Develop persuasive pitch decks, proposal documents, and RFP responses—drafting narratives and coordinating contributions from attorneys.

    • Refresh and maintain core messaging and proof points across presentations, web content, and marketing collateral.

  • Events & Sponsorships

    • Lead logistics for firm-hosted BD events (virtual webinars, receptions, client outings), including invites, materials, on-site coordination, and follow-up.

    • Identify relevant industry conferences, sponsorships, and networking opportunities; manage all related arrangements.

  • Directory & Awards Management

    • Coordinate submissions to legal directories and rankings; work with communications on award entries and announcement materials.

  • Research & Market Intelligence

    • Conduct strategic research on prospective clients, competitor activity, and market trends to inform positioning.

  • Systems & Internal Communications

    • Become a super-user of BD technology (CRM and experience-management platforms) to capture activity and measure impact.

    • Draft agendas, internal updates, and practice-group briefs to keep leadership and team members aligned.

  • Ad Hoc Support

    • Assist with budget analysis, ROI assessments, and special projects as required by BD leadership.

Ideal Background & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

  • 7+ years in business development or marketing—preferably within a law-firm or professional-services setting

  • Exceptional project-management capabilities; adept at prioritizing and delivering under tight deadlines

  • Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills, with acute attention to detail

  • A collaborative mindset and confident communication style when engaging senior attorneys and cross-functional teams

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suites; experience with CRM platforms is a plus

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, resourcefulness, and a solutions-oriented approach
