Business Development Manager – Regulatory Affairs & Investigations

A prominent international law firm—renowned for combining cutting-edge technology with deep practice expertise—is recruiting a Business Development Manager to support its regulatory and investigations teams. You’ll work alongside practice leaders, marketing specialists, and senior lawyers to shape growth strategies, lead special projects, and enhance the group’s market presence.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Initiatives & Projects

Partner with BD leadership to roll out new programs, leveraging project-management tools to track milestones and deliverables.

Collaborate with recruiting, pricing, pro bono, and other service lines on cross-functional initiatives.

Lead working groups focused on driving adoption of the firm’s experience-management system and other BD platforms.

Conduct market and competitive research—analyzing client needs, regulatory developments, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
Practice-Group & Go-To-Market Support

Help plan and facilitate regulatory-focused forums, internal strategy sessions, and go-to-market meetings—drafting agendas and developing presentation materials.

Provide ad-hoc support for thought-leadership pieces, award submissions, and pitch decks that highlight the team’s strengths.
Event & Sponsorship Coordination

Organize firm-hosted client events (webinars, receptions, roundtables), managing invitations, materials, on-site logistics, and post-event follow-up.

Identify and secure relevant sponsorships, conference slots, and networking opportunities to boost the practice’s profile.
Process Optimization & Reporting

Design, document, and refine BD processes—creating playbooks for onboarding, training, and knowledge sharing.

Draft detailed project plans, coordinate multiple workstreams, monitor budgets, and escalate obstacles to ensure timely completion.

Utilize CRM and experience-tracking platforms to capture activity, generate insights, and produce regular performance reports.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional background

5+ years in business development or marketing—ideally within a law-firm or professional-services environment

Proven track record managing complex BD projects under tight deadlines

Strong communicator with excellent writing, presentation, and editing skills

Collaborative mindset; comfortable influencing senior lawyers and cross-functional teams

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a knack for driving change and adoption

Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM/experience-management systems a plus
